trip once everyone is back from Philmont.
5/8/08: Crew trip to a Drive In (& other Fun Stuff)!
Crew 1940 s attempting to organize a trip to the Blue Ridge area of Georgia on Memorial Day weekend (weekend of May 25). On this trip, we
would stay at Woodruff and do a few day hikes and activities during the day, and at night we would go to the local drive-in theater for a double
feature including the newly released “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull”! This would be a great opportunity (and strongly
recommended) for those going to Philmont to get in one last hike. Since this is Memorial Day weekend, the days may be shifted, also the times
and costs are TBD. What we need to find out is who would be available and interested in going on this trip. Crew members should let me know if
you can or cannot attend and if leaving Friday night or Saturday morning (possibly from the Memorial Day Flag service) would be better for you.

4/28/08: The SCOUT SHOW Returns!
In 2010, the Atlanta Area Council will relaunch the Scout Show event! The Scout Show was an event that was hosted by the council each year at
the Georgia World Congress center that featured unit exhibits, indoor and outdoor hands-on activities, and whole lot more.... and it was HUGE!
When the Scout Show stopped being held, the Scout Expo was born as a way to continue such an event on a smaller scale. This will be the first
Scout Show in 10 years (the last show was in 2000). It may seem like a long time away, but this is still very exciting news!
